All right, this is Mother Jones.  Still, any conservative American who actually has the guts to look at these graphics will come away realizing that we truly are at 1933 again.  And that we will need to do something about skyrocketing wealth disparities that threatened every past generation of the American Experiment. And that Supply Side Voodoo Economics assurances have by now proved 100% lies.

 Past generations found reasonable, compromise solutions and negotiated pragmatically to both keep vibrant capitalist flat-open-fair competition AND maintain social mobility.  

Indeed, it is to prevent such negotiations that today’s oligarchs have financed the destruction of politics in the US (e.g. the “Hastert Rule” that no republican may ever negotiate with democrats, over anything, ever.) It is for that reason that the right spares no effort to call Franklin Roosevelt the same thing as Satan Incarnate… even though our parents in the Greatest Generation adored him more than any other human being.

Fact, is, FDR effectively SAVED capitalism and the wealthy, in America.  The aristo fools who demonize him and seek to restore feudalism seem too stupid to realize the alternative to a middle class America — such as FDR built — is not feudalism… but tumbrels.  They should be the ones seeking a new Roosevelt.

The Gods of the World: A group called "The 40 Foundation" put together this rather extraordinary infographic of the world's religions and how they're (historically) related to one another. It's a phylogenetic tree of the gods.

I can't say that this diagram is complete, nor that it shows every possible cross-pollination; it would be very hard to do so, given just how intricate this aspect of history is. Likewise, it's hard to define the boundaries between various sects, at times; while the Protestants are very famous for each sect having its own name and being firmly opposed to those schismatics from the Popular Front of Judea, many other religious divisions have been more subtle, two groups simply moving away from each other over time, or one group simply adopting a radically different theology without telling anyone. But the image is detailed enough that you can clearly see phenomena like the Protestant Reformation, the emergence of Islam, and quite a few other historical events very visually. And to nitpick a work this complex feels almost petty.

Abstract - as defined by "Like abstract art, abstract photography concentrates on shape, form, colour, pattern and texture. The viewer is often unable to see the whole object. The subject of the photo is often only a small part of the idea of the image. Viewers may only know the essence of the image subject or understand it by what is implied."

Autumn Colours -  This is our colour theme for the round. Basically, reds, yellows, oranges, or anything that makes you see "autumn" when noticing colours. This will be saved as "AUTUMN" only when uploading.

Animals Are Awesome - From being someone you snuggle with when you're sad, to a puppy who fetches you a beer to a hilarious picture of a dog feeling guilty for eating your couch - showcase how you feel animals are amazing with their personalities. This should not just be about a cute cat or dog... show me awesome... like my ninja cat or like a horse that is used for blind kids, or a 3-legged dog you know. Animals ARE awesome, so let's feature them. This will be saved as "ANIMALS" only when uploading.

Funny Face - I have wanted to do this one for so so long. I think the hunt over halloween is perfect.

The Letter C - - I loved the Letter B album, so here's another one. Any word starting with the letter C - the floor is open, impress me!

When You See It - Okay, so it's the hunt over halloween - be discreet and surprise me with something as subtle as you can. This category is going to be all about an idea - and then shooting it in a way that is hard to detect. I want you to REALLY think about this one.  Try to set up a very normal setting - then shock me with something IN the setting I wasn't expecting.  I am very hopeful about this category - surprise me!!!  This category to be saved as "SEE IT".

Ghost-  I challenge you to freak me out. You know I love this and it's halloween. It can be as simple as your kid in a white sheet, to get technical and play with your opacity. I think this category we'll do a bit of tips and tricks from our veterans. I'll keep you posted, but I can't WAIT to see what we can learn with this one!

And with that - go, play, be amazing, get creative, knock my socks off - and have fun!!!! This is a game. Try not to get caught up in anything other than you impressing yourself. Try HARD. Work HARD. Make this and album that you will love sharing!!!
